I'll admit it: The Burbs took a few episodes to win me over. The first two episodes spend a lot of time introducing the neighborhood and its quirky residents. But by episode three, the mystery starts taking shape and I was fully invested.

Starring Keke Palmer, the series follows Samira, a newcomer to a suburban community who becomes obsessed with the abandoned house across the street. Years earlier, a young woman disappeared, and no one seems to know exactly what happened. The house has been sitting empty ever since, surrounded by rumors, theories, and plenty of neighborhood gossip.

What starts as curiosity quickly turns into an investigation as Samira digs deeper into the town's secrets. The show does a great job balancing comedy with mystery, giving viewers enough clues to keep guessing while never becoming too dark. By the end of the season, it's obvious there is more story to tell, and Peacock has already renewed the series for Season 2
