Description (No Spoilers)

If you’re looking for a calm, comforting drama to watch at night, It’s Not Like That on Prime Video is exactly that kind of series.

The story follows a pastor who recently lost his wife and is now trying to adjust to life without her while continuing to lead his church and keep everything together. Right next door is his late wife’s best friend, who is also going through a major life change after her divorce. The two slowly begin leaning on each other emotionally while navigating grief, loneliness, friendship, and the complicated emotions that come with starting over.

And yes… everyone around them probably sees the tension and emotional connection building before they do. But “it’s not like that”… at least that’s what they keep saying 😂

Scott Foley, known from Scandal, is incredibly charming in this role. He brings warmth and vulnerability to the character without making the show overly heavy. Even though the series deals with grief and heartbreak, it still feels light, comforting, and easy to watch.

This is one of those shows you can put on at the end of the day when you want something emotional but peaceful at the same time. No huge twists. No stressful chaos. Just characters you enjoy spending time with.

Why I Recommend It

I recommend It’s Not Like That because it’s the kind of series that feels cozy and comforting while still having enough emotional depth to keep you invested. The chemistry between the characters works naturally, and the story feels very human and relatable.

It’s also a great option if you enjoy relationship-driven dramas that focus more on conversations, emotions, and personal healing rather than nonstop action or suspense.

• Perfect “easy night watch” type of series
