Description (No Spoilers)
Nemesis on Netflix is one of those classic crime thrillers that immediately pulls you into a world of robberies, secrets, and police investigations. The series follows a detective who becomes obsessed with catching a robbery crew after believing they may be connected to the murder of one of his fellow officers. What starts as a typical thief vs. cop storyline slowly becomes more complicated as personal connections and hidden identities begin to surface.
One of the strongest parts of the series is the contrast between appearances and reality. One of the thieves is viewed as a completely respectable member of society, making him the last person anyone would suspect. At the same time, the detective himself has a complicated family dynamic because his own father is also a thief. That tension adds another layer to the story and keeps the series entertaining beyond the action scenes.
Nemesis has solid pacing, enough action to keep you engaged, and the kind of storyline that makes episodes easy to binge one after another. While it may not completely reinvent the crime genre, it absolutely delivers an entertaining watch for fans of robbery dramas and police thrillers. And yes… the ending clearly leaves the door open for another season.
Only 8 episodes with a binge of around 8 hours total.
Why I Recommend It
If you enjoy crime dramas with robberies, detectives, and characters living double lives, Nemesis is a very easy binge. The storyline is entertaining from the beginning, and the tension between the detective and the thieves keeps building throughout the season.
I also liked that the series mixes action with family conflict and hidden identities instead of focusing only on police investigations. The ending definitely feels like there is more story left to tell, which makes it perfect for viewers who love crime series that leave you wanting another season.
