Description (No Spoilers)

A wild true crime documentary centered on Joe Exotic, an eccentric zoo owner who crowned himself the “Tiger King.” What begins as a bizarre look into the world of exotic animal ownership quickly spirals into criminal allegations, bitter feuds, manipulation, and ultimately a murder-for-hire case that shocks the country.

Tiger King explores the chaotic rivalry between Joe Exotic and animal rights activist Carole Baskin, but the deeper the series goes, the more unbelievable the story becomes. The documentary pulls back the curtain on a hidden world of private zoos, questionable breeding practices, and power struggles fueled by ego and obsession.

Each episode escalates the madness. The personalities are larger than life, the conflicts are outrageous, and the twists feel almost scripted — except they’re real. What makes the series so addictive is how unpredictable it is. Just when you think it can’t get any crazier, it does.

Knowing that it all ends with Joe Exotic in prison for a murder-for-hire plot makes the story even more surreal.

Messy. Disturbing. Fascinating. Completely binge-worthy.

Why I Recommend It

This is one of those documentaries where every episode gets crazier than the last. The level of eccentricity is off the charts, and you honestly can’t believe these people exist.

It’s peak “you can’t make this up” television. Wild, chaotic, uncomfortable at times — but impossible to stop watching.

• A pop culture true crime phenomenon that took over Netflix
• A messy, shocking story that somehow keeps getting more unbelievable
