Description (No Spoilers)

The Chestnut Man is exactly the kind of dark crime series I love: disturbing, smart, twisty, and easy to binge. The first season, released in 2021, follows detectives investigating a serial killer targeting women in Copenhagen, leaving behind small chestnut figures that connect the murders to something much bigger.

Season 2, The Chestnut Man: Hide and Seek, finally arrived in 2026 with a new serial killer, a new case, and the same detectives pulled back into another disturbing investigation. This time, the mystery is different, but the tone is still dark, intense, and full of the kind of plot twists that make you want to keep watching.

With two seasons, six episodes each, and around 10 hours total, this is a great binge for anyone who loves Nordic noir, serial killer investigations, and crime mysteries that actually keep you guessing.

Why I Recommend It

One of my closest friends knows exactly the kind of shows I love, and she told me I needed to watch The Chestnut Man. She was right. This is one of those crime series that pulls you in because the investigation is dark, the detectives are compelling, and the twists actually deliver.
• Great for fans of serial killer mysteries and Nordic noir.
• Two seasons, 12 episodes total, around a 10-hour binge.
• Season 2 brings a new case with the same detectives and another strong plot twist.
