56 Days is a psychological thriller on Prime Video that begins with what feels like a modern love story — two people meet right before lockdown, decide to move in together sooner than expected, and attempt to fast-track a relationship inside the isolation of a global pandemic. What starts as romantic quickly turns unsettling.

The story unfolds through dual timelines: the early days of the relationship and the investigation that follows a shocking discovery — 56 days after moving in together, one of them is found dead inside the apartment. As detectives piece together what happened, secrets slowly surface, and the intimacy that once felt intense starts to feel suspicious.

I’ll be honest — after watching the trailer, I expected something even stronger and darker. It doesn’t completely reinvent the thriller genre, and some of the twists didn’t shock me the way I thought they would. Still, I ended up binging the entire series. The pacing keeps you engaged, and the shifting perspectives make you question both characters more than once.

It’s one of those contained, character-driven thrillers that works best when you let yourself get pulled into the psychological tension rather than waiting for explosive moments.
